Southwest coast
Karon Beach, stretching 4 km south of Patong, is famous for its creaky white sand. During the rainy season there are very strong waves. Behind a small cape, to the north, Karon is adjacent to the small beach of Karon Noi.
Kata is a small bay with a calm and cozy atmosphere. The beach is divided into two parts: the northern one, which overlooks the small island of Pu and the picturesque coral reef located nearby, and the southern one, where hotels are located right on the shore. The water is excellent for swimming and snorkelling, but high waves can occur during the rainy season and surfers come here from May to October.
West Coast
Bangtao (Bang Tao) - a six-kilometer beach, in the center of which lies one of the most grandiose hotel complexes of the island - Laguna. This is a combination of comfort, luxury and amazingly beautiful nature. Here is velvet sand, azure-clear water and a gentle entrance to the sea. The tides do not cause discomfort.
Kamala is a wide coastline, clean sand and gentle sea. In the southern part of the beach, almost next to the shore, there is a coral reef. Behind the beach there are many eateries and bars. Twice a week, the village market opens, beckoning with its color. The tide is not pronounced, waves are possible during the rainy season.
Patong - attracts tourists with an abundance of bars, restaurants, discos, vibrant nightlife. A great place for active tourists without small children. The long coastline is lined with sun loungers, which can be rented for a fee. Sea of medium depth with a gentle entrance. In the northern part of the beach, it is problematic to enter the sea due to large stones, but tourists can go to the central part of Patong Beach.
Tri Trang is a small beach adjacent to the southern part of Patong. Vacationers can easily get into the center of all entertainment. The atmosphere of silence, tranquility and romance reigns on the beach. The entrance to the sea is rocky, at low tide it is inconvenient to swim due to coral reefs and small rocks.
Northwest coast
Mai Khao - translated as "white tree". The length of the beach is 11 km; perhaps it is here that the largest sand on the island. This relatively wild beach is a place for lovers of solitude and silence. In winter, turtles come here to lay eggs. During the whole year, you need to swim with caution, as strong currents are possible near the coast. Due to high waves, it is especially not recommended to swim here from May to September.
Nai Yang is the closest beach to Mai Khao and is only a 5-minute drive from the airport. Very popular with the locals and conducive to relaxation and unhurriedness. The beach itself is part of the Sirinath National Park, in its northern part there are coral reefs. Along the coastal zone are restaurants and beach bars. The sea and the bottom are quite comfortable for swimming.
Nai Thon is one of the most secluded and secluded beaches on the island, the road to it stretches through the hills covered with jungle. Coastline with golden sand. The tides are not very pronounced, but from June to August there can be high waves. There are several restaurants on the beach, and for nightlife it is better to go to Patong Beach. The Nai Thon region is designed for a relaxing holiday or holidays with children. During peak season it is a typical tropical paradise.
South coast
Nai Harn is located in the southern part of the island. There is a yacht club nearby, but the presence of ships does not cause much discomfort for vacationers. During the dry season it is a great place for swimming, and from June to August there are strong currents and waves.
Rawai is Phuket's very first tourist-run beach. There are always a lot of people here, despite the rocky coastline and traditional Thai boats moored along the coast. At low tide, swimming is almost impossible. It is here that the elegant Mangosteen Hotel is located, as well as numerous bohemians from all over the world.
East Coast
Friendship - most of the boats and boats depart from the beach to nearby islands. Nearby is the main transport hub of South Phuket, so the sea here is quite dirty and shallow. At low tide, the water recedes for almost a kilometer.
Panwa - Panwa Cape is protected from the western monsoons, so you can swim here all year round. The sea is always calm, but it has strong low tides, which cause discomfort due to the rocky bottom and shallows.
Siray - the beach is located on the island of the same name, in close proximity to the administrative center of Phuket Town, and is connected to the island by a small bridge.
